Multilingualism and learning

Usually publishers offer only language coursebooks for the general public. The Appe@l project (Apprendere l’Europa Attraverso le Lingue) intends to enhance partial L2 competences in stakeholders managing international projects in the fields of education, cooperation and solidarity.

Appe@l will update the products (in 3 languages: En, Fr, It) of the previous ALPEC Project,  was coordinated by LEND and received the LABEL Prize in 2005 for its innovative features. The Appe@l's consortium intend to further disseminate these products in 3 new languages (Arabic, De, Es) and among new target groups , having noticed an increasing number of international projects involving EU, Mediterranean and South American countries and other stakeholders (municipalities, SMEs, ONGs).

The outcomes of APPE@L will be:
a flexible set of 4 language learning modules in 6 languages, aimed at diverse groups of stakeholders;a flexible and blended model training course (on-line and face-to-face) for language teacher trainers; a course guidebook; a CD-ROM containing all of the above and other resources; an interactive website providing self-access to learning/development materials; a wider established partner network for future multilateral collaborative projects.
